For once, I’ll cut the story short: if you’re a highlighter lover, you definitely need the Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit Gleam palette in your life!
And if you were hesitating between this one and the Illuminators from the same brand, trust me, they’ve got nothing in common!
I’m not really a fan of the Illuminators, because of their stiff texture, and also because they don’t really last on me.
So when I heard certain beauty YouTubers rave about this Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit, like the same ones who raved about the Illuminators, I thought that it was probably just more of the usual hidden sponsored content so I wasn’t really tempted to try them.
But finally, about 16,586 years after their initial release, the kits landed in my local Sephora and I was able to swatch them to see what the fuss was about. And (spoiler alert!) when I swatched them, my eyes became like the hearted eye emojis (you know the ones)! bigsmile
The Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit highlighters palette are available in 2 versions:
– That Glow: 4 highlighters powders in a bronze/ golden harmony,
– Gleam: 4 highlighters powders in a pink/ peach/ rose gold kind of shades.
Both versions are stunning and it was a tough choice to make. I finally opted for Gleam, the pinker version because I have less highlighter powders in these shades in my modest collection and I thought I could also use them as eyeshadows! smile

What the brand says about them:
“Metallic powder highlighters for intense luminosity.
Layer shades together or wear them separately on eyes and body. For even more glow, apply with a damp makeup brush.”
Glow Kit is a palette of 4 multipurpose highlighters powder, that work on the face, on the eyes and for the extreme glow fan, even on the body!
The 4 pans are removable, they can be left in the kit or place in another palette (like a Z-palette for exemple), which is very convenient for the pros (or those who like to have all their products in the same place, to transport them easily for example).
Gleam is a harmony of 4 pink shades, which can work on lots of different skin tones in my opinion:
– Hard Candy is a golden peach duo-chrome, with a light blue reflect. I use it on my eyes, on my cheeks and it also looks great used as a blush topper,
– Mimosa is a super pretty rose gold, perfect on the top of the cheekbones if you have a tan, or as a blush topper and on the eyes,
– Starburst is a very light iridescent pink, very pretty used as an highlighter on fair skin or on the eyelid, to catch the light,
– Crushed Pearl is a very light pink champagne, quite frosty. I especially love to use it in the inner corner of my eyes.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit Gleam highlighters, my test and thoughts:
– Formula and texture:
They’re very different from the Illuminators by the same brand, that I find quite dryer in texture! The 4 highlighters of this Glow Kit Gleam are super creamy, and easy to apply and to blend. A real joy to use! smile
– Packaging:
This is a light iridescent silver cardboard palette. It has no mirror, which makes it rather easy to carry because it’s light.
It’s not the most luxurious packaging in the world (especially compared to the super pretty Illuminators ), but it’s quite simple (which is not necessarily a bad thing).
– Finishes:
The finishes of the 4 powders is ultra luminous and intense, almost metallic for some of them (Crushed Pearl and Starburst). I love the powder from this set that is a duo-chrome iridescent shade (Hard Candy) because it makes this palette a little more interesting and unique! wink
– Colors:
I love to mix the colors together and use every one of them to illuminate different parts of my face. The fact that some colors are very pale and some others are darker also allows me to vary the effects depending on the season or your desire.
– Application:
I generally use my specific highlighter brushes.
My favorite at the moment:
– the Smashbox Fan Brush, the Anastasia Beverly Hills #23 or the Morphe 501 or 510.
– Pigmentation:
Intense for the 4 shades.
But they blend very easily. You can also layer them for more intensity (especially on the eyelids).
– lasting Power:
They last well on me, between 6 and 8 hours, which is pretty decent.
– Value For Money:
The palette retails for $40. The size of each of the 4 powders is rather important so I think it’s a good value for money.

I mixed Crushed Pearl, Starburst and Mimosa on my face. On my eyelids, Crushed Pearl is in my inner corner and I applied Hard Candy and Mimosa on my eyelid.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this palette and I really use it a lot right at the moment. It’s very pretty but also super convenient because it’s multi-purpose. Such a nice catch! smile

It was meant to happen eventually… I finally ended up getting the other Glow Kit, That Gold.
And it’s just stunning! I know it’s not my usual detailed review, but to summarize, it’s the same as Gleam, but with different colors! wink
However, I think you’d maybe appreciate some more photos of that second Glow Kit:
