ColourPop Rebound, my review

ColourPop? Again?? I told you, I’m totally obsessed with these products! And the Rebound quad of eyeshadows is no exception to the rule…

I didn’t intend to tell you anything about it after all the articles I have done about the brand, but on a second thought, I decided it would be useful to share my impressions on the Rebound set of eyeshadows.
I feel that it’s very easy to feel overwhelmed when you’re on the ColourPop website to putting together your first order. There is almost too much choice now!

And in my opinion, this Rebound quad is a perfect option to discover the brand!

ColourPop Rebound, presentation:

When you look on the website, you may think that this is an eyeshadows palette, but actually it’s a set of 4 eyeshadows in solo format.
The 4 colors are exclusive and are not sold separately outside of the set.

I ‘ve been wanting to try one of the ColourPop Pressed Pigment for a while, and a discount code gave me the little push I needed to make the purchase… A tip for you: follow ColourPop on their social media, sometimes there are good deals like this! In this case, it was 20% off all their sets. Not bad, right? wink

So this quad contains two matte eyeshadows (One & Done and Adios), one iridescent glittery eyeshadow (Too Soon) and one Pressed Pigment (Ex).

For a more detailed description about the ColourPop eyeshadows (texture, application, long-lasting power etc.), feel free to take a look at my full Super Shock Shadows review! smile

One & Done:

There is a matte cream/flesh color eyeshadow. It’s rather light and it makes a perfect base to put all over your eye lid. It also serves as a wonderful highligter for the inner corner of the eye! It has a great coverage which is perfect if you need to correct a very pigmented eyelid or if you have a lot of small veins to hide.

Adios:

Adios is also a matte eyeshadow. On my swatch photo, it looks brown but it’s actually a dark taupe kind of shade, really between gray and brown.
This is the kind of color that doesn’t look like much but I use it super often: it’s a perfect transition shade, or used to intensify an outter V. In short, it’s a great staple!

Too Soon:

I’m not gonna lie, I bought this set for that color! Too Soon is an iridescent pink beige shade with lots of pink glitter in it. It’s super luminous and the glitter has no fall outs and has a great long-lasting power. It doesn’t move! (And it’s quite rare for a glittery eyeshadow)

Ex:

Ex is a matte pressed pigment, so it has a very intense pigmentation. It’s a very bright coral shade that can be used on the eyelids and also as a blush.
However, ColourPop recommends not using it too close to the eyes. So it’s better to avoid using it on the lash line for example. I guess it’s because of the very high concentration of neon pigments, which can be quite irritating for the fragile eye area…

Here they are on me:

I applied One & Done all over the lid, Adios and Ex in the crease and Too Soon on the eyelid and on the lower lash line.
I also applied Ex as my blush and my lipstick, here is the Estée Lauder Pure Color Envy Shine in the shade Surreal Sun.

I don’t really have the perfect equipment to take great photos of my makeup, and despite all my efforts, the colors don’t always come out the way I want. For example, here,Too Soon doesn’t show all the glitter it has in it, and it’s a pity because in real life, it’s subtle, but it’s visible and stays in place all day! wink

In summary:

[wprs-pros][wprs-cons]

The Rebound quad is available on ColourPop website for 20$.

And you, are you tempted by the ColourPop Rebound set? What are the ColourPop eyeshadows on your wish-list?

EDIT (12/07/16):

Great news! Worldwide delivery is finally available for ColourPop! (Well, to be precise, it will be tonight wink )
The brand is now delivering all over the world, except China and Turkey. I don’t know all the details yet but apparently the delivery fees will depend on the location and the weight of each package.
