The ColourPop saga continues with Part 2, my Super Shock Cheeks blushes review!

I’ve already introduced you to the Super Shock Shadows and you’ll have understood that I was crazy about them. A few weeks ago, ColourPop also launched blushes! I mean come on, just take all my money!!!
I tried to resist buying the 23 that exist in the range because, let’s get real here, I only have two cheeks, but honestly, it was a close call! tongue
I’ll kill the suspense right away by revealing that yes, these blushes are insanely good! But believe me, I have very good reasons to be enthusiastic.
Let me explain:
ColourPop Super Shock Cheeks blushes, presentation:
– Innovation and formula:
The texture is exactly the same as the Super Shock Shadows: a hybrid texture powder/cream/mousse, with that soft and almost bouncy feeling when you touch them.
– Color range and finishes:
There are 23 different blushes in the permanent collection, and some other from limited editions. The range is quite new, so I imagine there will certainly be other colors in the future. There are a lot of nude ones (lots of pink especially) but also more intense and darker shades that will be perfect for darker complexions!
They are available in 3 finishes: matte, satin/iridescent and shimmery/glittery.
– Packaging:
It’s exactly the same round little jar, very pop 60’s, than for the eyeshadows, but in a larger size.
And same caution: don’t forget to close it tightly to prevent these little gems from drying up!
– Application:
You can use a blush brush or your finger tips (I’m not a fan) to apply this blush. Personally, after having tried different techniques, the brush that I prefer to use with it is the Real Techniques Stippling Brush (see photo above).
In fact, I think that a duo-fiber brush is the perfect way to catch the right amount of product and to blend it into your skin without moving your foundation underneath.
– Pigmentation:
Amazing pigmentation!
You can see the color on the skin but it’s not impossible to blend like some other blushes that tend to stain the skin indelibly, and you end up looking like a clown.
– Lasting-power:
The lasting power is awesome and I was clearly impressed!
These blushes have the best longevity on my skin compared to all the others I own. They last 8-10h without fading on my cheeks, and with the combo oily skin/very hot Dubai weather, this is quite an achievement!
– Value For Money:
For the quality and quantity of product, I think that $8 is a great price!
– Availability:
Unfortunately, they’re still quite complicated to find, unless you live in North America, Australia or New Zealand …

ColourPop Super Shock Cheeks blushes, review and swatches:
– Prenup:
It is a rather medium pink purple with a satiny finish.
When I saw the micro-glitter in the jar, I must admit that I was a bit scared. I’m not a big fan of the ultra-shimmery blushes, I find less than flattering and they tend to emphasize my pores! But fortunately, the glitter doesn’t really show on the skin, it just gives a very nice and subtle glow. No disco-ball effect, I assure you!
– Mochi:
It’s a bright and mat pink, with cool undertones. I love this color, it immediately gives a flush and fresh effect to the skin. It is perfect for spring time and this is my favorite blush of the moment!
– Early Bird:
When I ordered it, I was expecting a rather orangy-red blush, but in reality, it’s more a pinky-red shade, with a matte finish. It still has quite warm undertones (but it’s still a pink, not really a coral). It’s a great color to mimic the effect of “I just came back from a walk in the forest”, perfect for a bad skin day! wink

Great news! Worldwide delivery is finally available for ColourPop! (Well, to be precise, it will be tonight wink )
The brand is now delivering all over the world, except China and Turkey. I don’t know all the details yet but apparently the delivery fees will depend on the location and the weight of each package.
