My crush on Adéli Paris, headbands made in France

My crush on Adéli Paris, headbands made in France

Ah headbands…my best friends for bad hair or lack of inspiration days!

It immediately gives a very sophisticated effect to my hair style even if it only took me 10 seconds to do. A very French definition of how to do your hair,  effortlessly!;)

I’ve been letting my hair grow for several years, and on top I used to have a fringe, so an ally to help me do my hair is always welcome.
So, now I’ve got used to putting headbands in my hair, it has really become a part of “my style” (I put quotes because it makes me feel like a fashion blogger to say it like that, and I’m not, lol) .

So of course, I’v also bought lots of fun hair accessories at H&M and cie, but the problem is that I’m sure to find the items I picked there on the head of everybody, so I was looking for some headbands that are more original, without having to pay a fortune (that I don’t have anyway).

This is how I came across Adéli Paris.

Adéli Paris, who are they?

Adelaïde and Lisa

Adéli Paris was created by two girls, Adelaïde and Lisa who decided to set-up their own hair accessories company in 2011, Adéli Paris. One of them worked in fashion and the other in advertising, but they are both passionate about headbands and they have a very retro inspiration, very “La Belle Epoque” (end of 19th century).

I say “inspiration”, because their headbands are very modern and trendy!
Shapes and colors are carefully chosen, true thought and creativity goes into each headband.
Moreover, the entire collection is produced in France (cocorico!), guaranteed quality and “savoir-faire” (oh yeah!). (The entire world think that French are arrogant, I really don’t understand why! ;))

What I can tell you is that I have had some of their headbands for around 3 years and they are still perfect and that is priceless when you really love a hair accessory.

About the prices, they go for between 20 and 40 euros (120-180 AED) depending on the item. For something made in France, it is a good price.

Adéli Paris, what is it?

They are lovely headbands, each more beautiful than the previous (good luck to choose only one) (me, I couldn’t/can’t).

Frankly, they work all on their own. I usually wear them as a regular headband or if I want to make a little more effort, I roll my hair in with the headband, to create a sort of retro hair-do in less than 10 seconds.

But it can also accessorize a bun or a braid, it’s really versatile. And it works for all  hair types, short or long, straight or curly!

Here are some examples of what can be done with them: (click to enlarge the image)

Cute, isn’t it?

One of my favorite hairstyles is this one, ultra-simple and ultra-efficient, with the Loubna headband (a classic model available every year), that I have in silver:

And on me, yet another headband model, this time for a “beach” version:
